  1. Im currently about 1/2 way through a PMH-ANP program and my goal is to move to Canada, I just found out Canada does not recognize/license Psych ANPs!!! I didnt go into this program specifically to go to Canada, the idea to move came after the election, I cant live in this country anymore and watch the GOP destroy it! Ok politics aside...... I have always loved Canada and really want to move, Im just so bummed I would not be able to use my degree there. Does anyone out there know about mental health nursing in Canada? Or what options I might have? Im going to talk to the nursing board of BC since that is the province I want to go to. Ugh, just so disappointed. I honestly dont think I can keep my sanity and stay in this country though.
  2. Ugh I have to deal with my cousin who has full blown BPD outbursts, so abusive!
  3. You are exactly right, I am a float nurse and every unit I go to I have addicts/psych patients every single shift and they are the same way, manipulative, abusive, drug seeking, its the new norm for the patient population in this country.
  4. Ive done tons of research for online Psych ANP programs, there are some really good ones out there, 2 of them that I really considered are Frontier and Eastern Kentucky, both of them happen to be in KY. I ended up wussing out and going to my local university since I did my undergrad there and just know the program, but Im about half way done now, cant wait!!!
  5. Dude my ANP program is less than $30,000 for the entire thing, including books and fees! Im not going to have any debt when I get out.....paying as I go.
