  1. I’m going to private message you!
  2. I've been having such a hard time finding a job since my offer from CHOP was rescinded due to COVID.
  3. Yeah so I got an official offer back in January, have been waiting to start since March but it kept getting pushed off because of COVID until July and then they finally told me a week before my orientation that they rescinded offers for all Nurse residents and will most likely not be hiring nurse residents what it looks like will be the remainder of the year for them. I was also told that they will reach out to those who they rescinded offers to and if they are not working elsewhere, give them a new offer if they’re still interested if their hiring process changes. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
  4. Were you given an offer yet or still interviewing? I’ve tried applying to other positions at different hospitals but I think many institutions in the area as in the same position as CHOP so I may be stuck waiting it out. Hoping things start to change for them if schools reopen and their census increases so they can bring on more nurses.
  5. Not sure if you guys are aware but I just got a phone call since I was supposed to start my orientation next week. Apparently for the time being, they have decided not to take on any nurse residents for the remainder of the year and not do much hiring externally. I guess I was one of 132 others who also had their nurse resident positions pulled. I’m devastated since this was my dream job ? just thought I’d pass the message along if you guys haven’t heard anything from your recruiters.
  6. My application still says in process and I was offered so sending you good vibes!
  7. When did you interview? I would call or email and ask because I believe you were supposed to hear back regardless of whether they offered you or not. I know their systems have also been having a lot of IT issues over the past month apparently so I’d just reach out.
  8. They told me it was because of IT issues beyond their control but should be resolved within the next couple of days and be sent out ASAP.
  9. still have yet to receive that email also, I'm just wondering if it's slow because of the holidays. I'm going to wait until the end of the week to send an email.
  10. They didn’t ask me anything about my GPA
  11. I take that back lol I just got the call got hired on a general peds floor!
  12. Still nothing ? I’m not getting my hopes up lol
  13. They told me one and a half to two weeks to hear back. I’ve also heard CHOP can be kind of slow and they also had just switched over their application system when I interviewed which probably doesn’t help either lol
  14. I interviewed 12/4 and I’m still waiting to hear back, hopefully within the next couple of days.
  15. My interview was very similar if not pretty much the same questions I got in the video interview. It was very casual. They said to expect to hear back within a couple weeks. Good luck!
  16. Interesting. I have two friends who were hired last August/September and they are in resident programs but they don’t rotate. One is on a pulmonary unit and the other is on general peds.
  17. Also will be interviewing 12/4! Any of you know what floor you're interviewing for?
  18. Hi! I completed my video interview several days ago as well and am waiting to see if I am placed in the New RN Talent Pool. I've heard mixed stories about the wait time since I have several friends currently employed there. Have you heard anything yet?
  19. I wouldn't say that necessarily. I was waitlisted last cycle and it took awhile to hear back saying I was waitlisted. They pull a lot of people from the waitlist. You may be waitlisted, try to stay positive!
  20. I tweaked it slightly, and also started volunteering at a local hospital. I got accepted to the campus I reapplied to (NB)
  21. 3.15 B.S in Kinesiology I graduated last May, 3.7 in science pre-reqs. I had over 1,000 hours of working experience as a PT aide and a really good personal statement that went into why my GPA was on the lower end and why I wanted to get into nursing (my dad had terminal cancer) . I was also waitlisted last cycle so not sure if that had any influence in the decision. Good luck everyone!
  22. Someone should start a group on Facebook or something like previous cohorts!
  23. Me too!! Congrats!
  24. I just feel like they didn't get 1,000 applicants either. I know they have campuses in NB, Newark and Camden so I'm not sure if it's for all of those but when I spoke to someone in Admissions they said they get a lot more applications for Fall and that it's easier to get into the Spring cycle. I have a friend in the program and she told me the same thing. And that their Admissions office/program is just unorganized in general.
