Ethics in Nursing
Thanks for the link. We are doing a module regarding how mandoatory hiv-aids testing on pregnant women looks ethically correct as it prevents spread of infection to the fetus and early treatment of the mother. However, if you look deeper, you can also notice that the mother right for autonomy is not being respected as she wishes not to be tested fearing her family abandonment and discrimination. So the scenario to be created has to include a situation that at first looks ethical but when looked more in detail, it has flaws and it doesn't look that ethical anymore.

Ethics in Nursing
Hello everyone, I need to create a situation/scenario where something seemed ethical at first, but a closer look into the issue revealed otherwise. For instance, someone can agree that children vaccination is ethically correct because it avoids transmission of diseases and prevent health complications. But a second thought would reveal that is not that ethically correct for every parent as some prefer not to vaccinate their kids. I would greatly appreciate any inputs in such a switch regarding ethics. Thanks a lot!

Bridging to RN (George Brown College)
Hi, GPA of 3.8 No, I graduated in 2014. Program keeps you really busy, a lot of assignments (writing a lot) but manageable if you dedicate it time.

Centennial or George Brown for RPN bridging to RN
I did my RPN at a different school (not GBC) so the exemptions work differently that if you come straight from GBC. The two general university electives (the options to pick) showed automatically on the registration website. I chose the section for the bridging program and after clicking to confirm, another window opened with the electives. Though it says "university electives" I'm taking it while during the bridging ( at college level). Pretty sure they are offered by GBC. Regarding my exemptions, I tried to did them effective by using an online application but it got rejected and was told by email I need to apply using a different method, so they sent me a lady's contacto to start working on it. I submitted everything and still waiting. In my case, I didn't get them complete approved: it said possible transfers. It's all confusing with this school. Not to mention Osap; I'm still waiting a progress in my app.

I have sent emails and no response. I know you can't use the online app if you are in any nursing program for course exceptions. It looks like I'm not gonna get them exemtped. I'll make a last try and will go to see a lady who deals with that at Waterfront Campus. If not, I'm wondering if I'm allowed to take the two electives in the summer 2018 to have a better work load. I heard people taking them ahead of time but not sure if possible after the program's finished is April 2018

Bridging to RN (George Brown College)
Hello, I'm staring the Bridging Program at George Brown (S122) this fall Sep 17'. Obviously I do not know the schedule yet, but I got an offer for a part time job, and I do not know what to do as I have no idea if the work and school schedules will go well. Any one who has been at the same program can give me an idea of what classes schedules are like? It will be much appreciated because it would be the only insight to make a decision, the job is to start in 2 to 3 weeks. Thanks in advance:)

I see on stuview that two electives I took during RPN program are elegible as exceptions. One is children's literature and the other one is creative writing. I was surprised to see they would recognize them. However, I will see if in fact they do.

Do you think you can take the two electives during summer semester? Instead of ahead of time, it would be after the second semester? It would be summer of 2018 in my case

Thanks for sharing your experience! And yes you are right you also need to get 75% in some subjects. And I also heard Centennial is harder. We will see how we manage... Thanks again

Centennial or George Brown for RPN bridging to RN
Hi there, seems like we are gonna be both at George Brown. From what I read, you need to get 75% average in all the courses to get to Trent University. I even spoke to an adviser and was told as long I meet this 75% I'll be OK. We will see.., I'm just wondering how hard it will be to achieve this average, especially considering there are 9 courses the first semester
