  1. PAX completed. I thought I did absolutely horrible (considering they bombarded me with all Physics and Chemistry questions in the Science section) but I ended up scoring a 138 composite. I'm not sure how decent of a score that is, but I only need 105 to get into my Nursing program -- so I'm content :)
  2. Well, I think I have mostly all the muscles I need to know memorized -sigh- I guess I'll resume studying for the PAX now -- taking it on Saturday. I'm not really sure what to expect, except I'm being tested on verbal, math, and science. I hope everyone else is doing well in their classes so far!
  3. Good luck on your first day! And oh wow, I love Minecraft too Havent had much time for gaming though since college
  4. "Daunting" is a pretty accurate description haha! But I think we got this
  5. Yes and no. For the first half of A&PI we were required to be able to identify tissues under microscopes, including cardiac, smooth, and skeletal muscle tissue. The second half of lab was memorizing all 206 bones and accompanying bone structures (which was the emphasis of A&PI at my college). In lecture, we only briefly went over smooth, cardiac, and skeletal muscle tissue by identifying their location (cardiac - heart; skeletal - atop bones; smooth - hollow internal organs/viscera), their characteristics (which we also went over in lab), etc. So this semester, the emphasis is now on the muscular system -- so we'll go more in-depth with everything and learn the majority of the muscles of the body (including the entirety of the nervous system, the digestive system, the lymphatic system, the respiratory system, and the circulatory system).
  6. Haha! We're using the cat all semester-long so we had to start skinning right off the bat. First 5 weeks is for muscle identification, then lab exam -- and the last 5 weeks is for organ and blood vessel identification, then 2nd lab exam. I'm looking forward to but also dreading learning the location and names of the muscles and their functions
  7. I just started A&PII today. Went over the syllabus and skinned a cat. Somewhat eventful day. Have to crack open the book and begin reading/studying.
  8. Not as silly as you may think -- there'll sometimes be that thought of you thinking you could've done better, but regardless, you should still celebrate the small victories! After all, you could've done way worse as well. Congrats though! :)
  9. Good luck!! I'm sure you'll do fine though -- keep us posted! :)
  10. Hey everyone! I'll be starting A&PII (lecture and lab) starting June 1st and then Intro to Interpersonal Communications starting June 20th. Good luck to everyone taking Summer courses this year! :)
