UPMC and AGH are fairly comparable in wages. The big difference is AGH is union for nursing at least so they get a set raise while UPMC has "performance based" percentage wages. They are both really pretty low with BSN salaries stating around 23 an hour. I know on our unit there is a charge differential of a dollar when you're in charge as well as a late/night shift one that I can't remember. Also let me tell you parking is ridiculous for the main hospitals. I pay 100 a month for parking across the street and that's the open lot not even the covered garage lot. Honestly UPMC and AGH kind of have a monopoly on the city so they can do what they want with wages.

One of the Anesthesiologists when a 400+ lbs patient came down for an amputation was at the desk and said to us 'Shamoo just swam on it." She is very notorious with us for saying hilariously inappropriate things because she's a few months from retirement.
