  1. Awesome! Congrats ?
  2. Haha yes. All the waiting! I know my recruiter is off tomorrow and Monday, so Jan 4th is the earliest I would hear anything.
  3. That appears to be for line officers and doesn’t pertain to us
  4. Tomorrow is the release date. I’d be shocked if it’s on time
  5. That’s so funny… totally my exact plan for this next year!
  6. Haha BREATHE! It’s all going to work out how ever it’s supposed to!
  7. I’m fully prepared to be hosed and stuffed into the January 18th class. Which will be super fun since I’m in Disneyland until the 17th ?
  8. Staff nursing boards should be done. My recruiter told me it’s just the nursing specialties that are going on now, lucky us ?
  9. Boards start today. They are supposed to be complete by Dec 28
  10. Haha I totally get it! I scheduled a vacation for the next week and a half just to distract myself ?
  11. I heard they are clearing all the packets this week… so as soon as the budget is stamped (hopefully next week) the board will convene. Then a couple weeks after that we should know!
  12. I hear that! My navy recruiter ghosted me in August, so that packet is toast for this year. The board for the AF has been pushed with no concrete date as of yet, but my packet submitted for one of 3 available slots. Never hurts to keep trying!
  13. That’s exciting! Congrats!
  14. You might be able to squeak another one out. OTS dates are mid January
  15. I just checked in with my recruiter. Apparently the budget hasn’t been approved yet. She’s hopeful to have results by the end of November.
  16. On or around November 12. My recruiter said could be 2-3 weeks later as well
  17. Which interview did you find difficult? I made first contact with the AF recruiter in February. Then I heard nothing from them until the beginning of August. We have been working rather quickly to make sure my packet is complete. I was just lucky that the Navy had completed my MEPS stuff in May and we were able to use it for the AF too.
  18. As prior service Army, I have seen how much better the AF takes care of their people and families. I am not opposed to Navy, they just tend to have fewer spots than even AF, and the Army doesn’t take active duty OR nurses anymore (they use civilian). I’m sure experience, references, and scores from interviews will play a large role.
  19. There’s only 3 slots this year. Super competitive. Good luck!
  20. I just have the Chief Nurse interview left and my packet will be complete! I’m in Washington. Is your packet ready?? I’m not ready for the next 6+ Weeks of waiting ?
  21. Sounds like it’s the 8 week then! Thanks!
  22. I haven’t even done the interviews. My Navy recruiter hasn’t been responding for the last couple months, so I’m not holding my breath over this board. Super annoyed! I have one more AF interview and that packet is ready, but they only have 3 spots for my specialty. Lots of waiting! good luck! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!
  23. I’ve been getting conflicting info. Is it the 8 week course or 5 week one?
  24. Just curious who has packets in for Air Force or Navy for the upcoming boards in October and how your processes are going. I have a packet in with both services, hoping to get a coveted OR slot since they are very few and far between. I passed MEPS in May and am now just twiddling my thumbs until I hear what’s next. Has anyone heard the numbers of billets opened for nurses in 2022?
