Hi All, I too am a UK Psych & General nurse (RMN & RGN) I took the Nclex RN last week and i too failed. Plan to continue studying and take it again. I took mine in london. I live in Northern Ireland and i think when UK nurses start to revise for Nclex RN we think we have to cover our own experience of Adult (general) nursing we are very much mistaken. What i didnt realise from day one is what i needed to do is study the exam the Americian way. Once i got that into my head things became alot easier. Sitting and failing i know has not lost me heart i will resit again in August - September i guess (45 days after my last exam) I feel it is more difficult for UK nurses 1st time around anyway because unlike our Americian colleagues who have not worked as an RN (they are required to pass Nclex Rn or PN first before they start to work as an RN) whereas all Uk nurses have worked and now we have to back track and answer the questions from a student nurses perspective. It is really difficult I too come to this site to read messages and feel i am given support and encouragment a few giggles and a bit of craic reading other peoples messages THANKS A warm welcome from me in Northern Ireland
