  1. I was hoping someone could help me out. I had a postpartum pt during clinical who had a dx of 'pregnancy rash'. I have did enough investigating to determine the name is 'PUPPS'...but I can't find any more info. I really need some add'l info on this. If anyone has heard of it,or can direct me to any websites with that info, I would appreciate it. Thanks for your help!!
  2. I took my NCLEX-PN on Tuesday. I studied--read Saunders book, did online review, reviewed notes from class. I felt comfortable going in to take test...but when it shut me off at 85, I felt sick to my stomach. I went home, and literally stayed in bed for 2 days w/a horrible migraine, nausea. It was horrible...finally, 48 hrs later, I paid the $8.00 on the Pearson website to find out I had passed. It is a wonderful feeling seeing that you passed. I am sure you did well yourself :)
  3. I took my NCLEX-PN today. I got right at 85 questions and my computer shut off. I am so sick--I don't feel like I did very good. I studied everyday, did practice tests, got my rest, ate healthy, and above all--I had confidence in myself and my ability to pass. Yet, I don't feel too confident now. I only had 3 pharmacology questions--I answered the question, then it would go onto something completely different. Does it mean I got the question right? My area of difficulty was dietary--got 6 in a row--they were somewhat difficult for me to answer so I don't know if I was getting them right and they were getting harder. I just hope I got enough to pass. The waiting is making me sick--it has only been 4 hrs. How long before results are usually posted? Congrats to all of you who have passed!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Today I took my TEAS test for the nursing program, which will start in January '07. I got a 85% total. I am hoping it is good enough to get in. The instructor told me I got 30 more points this year than last year. I studied my math really well and did not get over anxious. My pre-req's are done--I did well in all those classes,so hopefully that will help. She also asked me if I had taken a CNA class (which,I am a MA,so yes). Does this sound promising? I am trying not to get excited, but I do think this might be my year to start.
  5. Thank you. Yes,I have been to the sites you listed. I printed off some worksheets and do them each night. I am feeling more confident now, actually. I took a pre-alg class last summer & was so discourged by the teacher. He just didn't want to teach or explain anything. I guess he expected to just 'pick it up'. I later took a nursing math class and it helped alot. It is time to study a little more. Thank you all for the help.
  6. Thanks for all the sites to go to. I am really having a hard time with finding percents. Example problems: 8.5% of what is 3.4? Do you multiply 8.5x3.4? 0.5% of what is .375? I get 1.03? I need to find all the formulas for each type of problem Thanks for the sites again. I take my nursing entrance exam test Monday 3/6.I need to get the formulas memorized.
  7. Hello all. I am new to this site. I am taking my TEAS test on March 6 to hopeful start nursing school in January '07. I need any help on math as possible. I know the basics--but I need some refresher help. Percents, fractions, decimals. Also,if anyone can help me get past my test anxiety,I would appreciate it. Thank you all so much for your time & help.
