  1. Just wanted to say good luck to all of you on your questionnaire, as recently being notified of my acceptance! Think ahead, give your best shot and don't over stress; and remember, if you fail once, it's just reason to learn and keep trying harder!
  2. Exciting for you guys have have already gotten your emails! Does anyone know or/if anyone has been sent rejection emails? I haven't received anything in my email/BCIT communications, so I just wanted to hear from some of you guys!
  3. @kasx0 hey! that's awesome! would you be able to provide me with the email of the person that you contacted? and what did you request in the email that you sent them? they sounded super helpful, and hopefully be able to provide me with info as well!
  4. @aaaibra its sounds like your application is amazing!! i was wondering how many times you've applied for the program? being a re-applicant myself this year, it's super encouraging to hear the stories of other people in similar situations! p.s. when you say department, did you email or call the bcit nursing advisors? they seem to have been helpful in giving you information about your specific application, and i haven't had the same luck! it would be great to know who and how you got a hold of them!
  5. To those 2nd/3rd time applicants that have been accepted (first a congrats!) - I know that taking LIBS 7001 and 7002/7021 are helpful towards getting in the 2nd/3rd time you apply. However, do you think 2nd time applicants that have not taken the LIBS classes will be successful in getting in? Any input/opinion/personal experience is much appreciated!!

  7. Referring to the microbiology, pathology, etc courses that are part of the Nursing program - NOT prerequisites - How do applicants know what courses are transferable for the program? Is there a list online that we have access to? Thanks!!

  9. Hey all! Has anyone gotten any updates on themselves/others moving up the hold or waitlist?! Even a few words would be helpful TO THOSE that can ONLY get in if someone drops a seat!! A repost of an important message, since a month of anxious waiting has passed: **A kind word to those that have been offered a seat but know they will not attend: Please let BCIT know as soon as you know you won't be attending this program, so they may offer the seat to others on the waitlist as soon as possible. Many of those waitlisted have to wait to see if seats become available, and have to make life decisions like moving, pay tuitions/down payments on houses, enrol in other programs, start summer classes, jobs by certain deadlines these upcoming months. The later that they are accepted/rejected from the waitlist, the higher jeopardy the family, financial, academic and other issues of their lives are put at stake. This is hopefully a little reminder during this time, speaking to the humanity and compassion in all of us as future colleagues. As we all make insightful decisions, sending the best wishes to everyone, those making these decisions, those attending and those pursing a career elsewhere, good luck!

  11. @ xoxkayytee can you share your grades of pre-req classes, overall gpa, total credits, volunteer experience, work experience? and do you have any info/experience with the waitlist/holdlist? and do you know if we have any control over the level 1 schedule? whether we get the long thursday or long fridays? thanks so much!
  12. Does anyone know how far down the waitlist applicants have been accepted? any info, personal experience or where they're currently at in the acceptance process would be greatly appreciated!
  13. @ wannabeRN.24 To clarify, were you on the WAITlist or the HOLDlist? To my understanding top holdlist applicants get into the next intake, but not waitlisted applicants. When did BCIT notify you that you would not be starting in January? Being on the wait list now, I am concerned about the timing of having to wait until August to know if I get into the program/start school later. I appreciate any response/input!! Good luck this starting term!
  14. is anyone here on the holdlist? thanks!
  15. Just waitlisted today! Somewhat grateful, but also in a worse position that being rejected (where I could just plan the upcoming term and improve my application)- my entire summer and next year enrolment for schools, finance, is waiting on this decision, sitting at a stalemate. Crossing my fingers! **A kind word to those that have been offered a seat but know they will not attend: Please let BCIT know as soon as you know you won't be attending this program, so they may offer the seat to others on the waitlist as soon as possible. 16. lots of congrats to those accepted!! for those that haven't been accepted, does your Application Status still say "Pending Department Review"? and does anyone know how many seats they have already offered/how many are left? thanks!
  17. i think its approx 180 shorlisted, and then approx 90 seats!
  18. Just submitted the quiz like many of you. I wonder how admissions decides which responses are graded higher than other? Cause I'm sure each of us have demonstrated all those qualities in some way. Does anyone know how the initial application, grades, and now this quiz factor into the acceptance/rejection? Any reply is appreciated! Crossing our fingers we hear back soon!
