  1. Taking test skills? That might be what i need since ive noticed i stuggle with select all that apply. Any accredited sites for more information/practice on test taking?
  2. Im going to read your tips everyday to see how to improve. Im all ears! Thanks! #Positive
  3. Applied nursing skills. Not the check offs, just the exams for the chapters. Im actually really good at the checklist
  4. It is the third week of lpn and i have failed all three exams given to us. I am not going to blame the teaching method because others have done this before me, but i need to know how everyone passed. I am reading the chapter two times, writing notes, and watching videos and the questions are still throwing n Me off. I am getting discouraged, even though i tell myself i will do better the next time and that i really want to be a nurse! Please help me with some things that help you all! Im desperate to learn!
  5. When I took the TEAS Test, I didn't know much other than the Anatomy and Physiology side of things, though the TEAS Test includes Biology, Chemistry and Physics. What I did to prepare myself is start studying several months in advance. Pick up a TEAS Prep book from Barnes and Noble or buy the ATI Prep for Teas through the ATI Website (These are the ones who create the test). Also I downloaded the apps on my phone for TEAS Practice and bought both practice exams (A and B) through the ATI website. It was stressful and I could not be more happy when it was over with, but I am glad I did. I have been accepted to my colleges LVN program for Fall 2017.
  6. I actually got the summer off...yay me :) I completed my courses in Spring, took the TEAS back in April and received my acceptance to the LVN program for Fall 2017. Easy summer right? Nope! Working all I can till August, so I can have some money to get me by. Textbooks are not cheap and those uniforms
  7. I recently submitted my acceptance letter for the LVN program for the Fall of 2017, and I am now completely terrified! I think I spent most of my time believing that I wasn't good enough to get into a program that accepted 25 people, that when I did, I now feel like I am not ready! Call it a brain fart, but my biggest struggle is medical terminology. I can't remember terms to save my life! I am at a lost. Did anyone else go into the LVN program not knowing medical terms, and did they get refreshed? I assume, they are drilled into your head by the end of the period but in the meantime, I am scared not knowing terms and will only make it harder on me. I have to say, I am excited for clinicals. After going over forums on here, I can hardly await it, even if it is bathing or feedings (I am not a CNA). So exciting! I am a perfectionist and an early bird, so time is not an issue for me, but can anyone suggest what to expect going head first into a program I know nothing about? It is terrifying! I am getting anxiety and it is 2 months away still. I am grateful to have a mother who is an RN and readily available to help me out and plenty of time to study, as I will not need a job during this time. I have so many questions, but no words will come out. I just need to relieve my anxiety. If you have any tips or pointers on how to succeed, I am all eyes and ears. Help me!!! I thought prepping myself was a good idea, by going over lessons I will experience during the program. Boy was I wrong! Anxiety hell.
  8. Thank you. I have the pocket prep, but I have less than a week and a full time job, to pick up the grade on those practice test. I have one more practice test left (test A) so we will see how it goes. I'll buy the app if it is worth it and practice as much as I can. I hope I do well. This is my life!
  9. I have purchased both ATI TEAS 6 Assessments. I took Assessment B and got around 56% the first time and 68.7% the second time. Honestly I think the Assessment B was easier than the Assessment A, but the first time I took A, I scored better than the first time I took B and got a 59.3%. I have 15 days till my TEAS exam ( that I can not retake) and I am determined to pick up the score, before I take the assessment A again. In the meantime, I have two questions. Based on your opinion, between 1-10 (1 being easier than assessments and 10 being harder than assessments) how would you rate the ATI assessments according to the actual TEAS? Also, can you please suggest some learning material for the TEAS besides the ATI study guide? I have went through almost every topic to find useful information, but a lot is from TEAS V. I have been reviewing practice test online, I have the Mcgraw Hill Teas book, I use crash course and mometrix, but can't seem to focus and actually learn, which is resulting in my low scores. I also have pocket prep on Android. I am desperate for answers. If I do not pass this TEAS, I have to wait an entire year before I can take it again. PLEASE HELP!
