Kaiser Socal New Grad Residency 2023
First round of interviews at KP Baldwin Park was today. They're having three in total with another one happening tomorrow, and the third next Tuesday. They said we will hear who made it in after Tuesday. There are 20 spaces available in their New Grad program; today, there were 16 of us. Some peeps thought it was a long process, but I did not think so; it went from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as told during the phone call. It was a group interview with all the unit managers taking turns to ask questions. Some questions were hard, others not so much. Just be yourself and relax so you can recall those clinical scenarios that apply to answering their questions. Good luck everyone! I'll answer any questions you may have except for telling you the questions that were asked. Just keeping it fair for everyone.

Kaiser Socal New Grad Residency 2023
Hi guys! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. It makes me feel better knowing that I am not the only one in Kaiser limbo right now. I applied for the Baldwin Park (BP), Downey, South Bay (SB), and Ontario locations. So far, my application status has changed to "required testing initiated" for Downey, SB, and Ontario and "talent acquisition review in progress" for BP. When I was given the choice, I chose BP as my first preferred location and Downey as my 2nd. Good luck everyone and keep in touch!

UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2021
Hi! Did I hear correctly and someone said during orientation that they went to school to get their ID in person? Or, does anyone know if that is possible and how to go about it? Thank you!

Yes! That is a great idea. Would you like to start it, or do you want me to get it started?

UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2021
Hi guys! Just wondering how everyone is planning on making it through the program successfully. I would like to work full time, but I also know that might be a bit much for my sanity. So, I am thinking on maybe doing two 12s, Saturdays and Sundays (still trying to work that out with my employer). Are you planning on working at all? Thanks for sharing!

UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2021
Hey guys, while I was writing my previous response, MC wrote me back regarding my question about the new FA Director. I have her email address if anyone wants it. Send me a DM so I can give it to you and you can ask her about payment for Physical Assessment.

UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2021
That automated email with the due date of June 18 threw me off too! I paid for my Summer class (Physiology) today because I received that email. About two weeks ago I emailed CK to ask him about the due date and he told me it wasn't until the day before my class started. My Physiology class starts on 8/02 so I was thinking I had time, but then that email came so I just went ahead and paid for it today. I was going to email CK to ask for clarification on the due date, but I believe he has already retired from UCLA and someone new has taken over so I did not email anyone. I just went ahead and paid for my class ?

UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2021
Since I do not need to retake Health Assessment, the only thing I am missing from my admission checklist is retaking Human Physiology. I am taking it at UCLA during Summer session "C." Other than that, the only thing we are waiting for is orientation which will take place on Wednesday, July 28 and we have yet to be notified of the time, right? Someone please confirm so I can relax about this process for a bit. Thank you ?

Nope! Only crickets so far. I do not need to retake physical assessment though, just waiting on details about orientation.

UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2021
Hi guys! Didn't want to post anything before because I did not want to jinx it. I just got home to read my email after a long day. I was accepted! I applied to the Adult Gero Primary Occupational & Environmental Health Program. I received the notification this afternoon. My last name starts with a "G."

Hello, the cutoff was 82 points, and we were the last batch of students who did not have to go through an interview process. I believe your group was supposed to be the first to get interviewed, but then I heard the interview process was cancelled because of the Safer At Home mandate if I am not mistaken.

Los Angeles County School of Nursing Fall 2017
I was done with everything, but there are some peeps who made it in without having all of the GE certification courses done. They are 8 weeks long. We started June 17, 2019 and will be finishing up on August 9, 2019. There are some students who are doing the summer session classes at CSULA (6 units= 2 lectures + 1 lab) and taking a couple of classes at a community college at the same time so it is doable. Take everything you can at a community college. It is way cheaper so take advantage of that. Depending on where in the ADN program you are when you start the collaborative program, but some of us who will be graduating in December of this year, will have the Spring 2020 semester off. I am taking advantage of the time to prepare, take and pass my NCLEX, but if you still need that many credits, then you can take a couple of classes during the Spring/Fall semester.

You do have to pass a health clearance exam. That entitles proof of vaccines or titers. As far as I know they don't do drug testing. I don't remember them doing that anyway.

It is up to you, but if I could do it over again, I would start from semester 1. It is really hard to adjust to the program jumping in to 3rd semester. It is doable, don't get me wrong, but in my opinion, it is easier to start from the beginning. If you are not in a rush, then stay in the generic and start from semester 1, you'll be better prepared.

Interviews? Wow! No, we did not have to go through an interview.
