  1. Hello all! I just graduated on March 24th and have accepted a position in L&D and I could not be happier!!! I start orientation on the 1st of May(took and passed my NCLEX on 4-4). I know without a shadow of a doubt that this is where my passion is and I'm willing and able to climb that steep learning curve that is L&D to be successful in my area of nursing! Any of the experienced L&D nurses out there have any words of wisdom, tips, or tricks that they would care to share with a newcomer? Thanks so much! Looking forward to talking with you all!
  2. Hello! FNU is also my destination! I'm just at the end of nursing school getting my RN, I graduate next Friday! I'm enrolled for my BSN already, and plan to work my way through that so that I can apply to FNU for the WHNP/CNM program. I'm also a 33 year old mom of 3 kiddos, and have been married to my hubby for over 14 years now. My goal is to be in the CNM program, and hopefully close to graduating, by the time I'm 40. If I'm not in it and have started it by 40, I don't think I will do it. I'm currently looking into a L&D job and a Mother/Baby job at one of our local hospitals.
  3. A guy that graduated from my program was 18...it's possible, but I suppose you don't see it too often.
