  1. Theres no way you can be taking MATH 104 at a different school . Math 104 is to be taken at BMCC ONLY. Furthermore, you have to be enrolled in the college for at least a semester before you can apply. Your best bet would to be to try to get in for this fall as a undeclared health major. Then at the end of fall apply for nursing for spring.
  2. my friend got a 71 and and 3.9 GPA and she got in i had a 79 , 3.9 pre req and 3.5 overall.
  3. Okay I got the call around 7:00pm from a 212 number. Remember when we all had to sign up to take the test. I was the first one on the first day to sign up so I think I may jave gotten the first (or one of the first) call. Gotta go in on Monday for an orientation package....or admission package? lol all i heard was "congratulations" after that I was pretty much just screaming.
  4. I called yesterday. Mr sierra saif theyre gonna start either today or tomorrow
  5. This week should be the week they start making calls!
  6. I Spoke to Mr sierra yesterday, he said they havent even recieved all of the final grades and hes hoping to start calls next week
  7. @fitmuscleRN , you'll get in with those scores!!!
  8. Yes , staying positive is what we definetely need to do! Spreading positive vibes to all.
  9. Hey Nellie123, I scored a 79% on the Kaplan. My pre req GPA is 3.9 and overall 3.5 So idk. I'm super nervous. Applied for the day program. How about you?
  10. Hey, thanks for sharing. I don't think thats too bad of a Kaplan score. Thr writing threw me off too. But the Math was super easy and the reading was pretty easy too.
  11. Hey fellow BMCC pre nursing students. (Specifically those who are applying for the Fall 2018 program) Soooooo, took the Kaplan today. Wanted to post and show GPA's and Kaplan scores here, and hope and pray to get into the program together since the past classes seemed to do so in these forums. So, start away. Lets all chit chat about our scores and how nervous we are.
  12. NewYear626 , I am also preparing to take the test this semester. I have been doing alot of research about what is on the test specifically. Yes math is on the test. Kaplan, and the nursing dept has the break down of the test. Not sure why the the people there didn't give it to you (Actually nevermind the dept isn't really all that helpful to be honest, atleast not for me) . I'll paste the link Nursing Entrance Practice Test | Kaplan Test Prep. Also I have also found that the kaplan book isn't the greatest study mechanism for the test as the kaplan book also covers other nursing entrance exams such as the hesi, teas, etc. Upon research and youtube reviews of the test I found that it is actually better to get a few books to get a more wholistic (did I spell that right?) view of some of the topics. I'm using some ACT and SAT prep books for the Reading and Writing portion, I'm going to go over the first few chapters of Calculating with Confidence (the textbooks used for math104) while using some HESI and TEAS prep books for math, and for Science I'm going to mostly just let whatever I learn from A and P 2 this semester hold it down. I am also gonna go over the important topics from A and P 1 and go over some basic chem stuff just in case. This test you really have to do some digging to find the apropiate study materials. No one book covers everything. Hope this helps. Also if you'd like you can message me privately and I'll give you my facebook and we can talk a little more on Facebook messenger, maybe even be study buddies! Good luck !
