  1. My understanding is that a nurse does have to be on staff to supervise the LPNs and CNAs. As well as take MD orders and/or sign for orders. However they may work behind the scenes more and may not be as visible.
  2. I do think nurses are harder to please in some ways. Especially when our families are being cared for. If you are a good nurse who provides excellent qualify of care, you have expectations that some nurses and/or facilities have difficulty in meeting. When you are a professional who knows what goes on behind the scenes, you see things differently. Especially because you know the protocols and what should be done, that often isn't being done.
  3. Most facilities no longer allow clothe covers. They are too good of a vehicle for germs. Especially w/ isolation precautions etc.
