Career change into Nursing: Accelerated BScN, Pre-Health, or start from scratch?
If you're gonna be applying to a regular stream as a mature student, your other option to get your prereqs would be to do the high school courses online, through somewhere like ILC or Virtual High School. They're really cheap and you could do them in the evenings when your kids are asleep. I know the accelerated is a more appealing option if you can make it work, but just thought I'd mention the alternative. Best of luck!

How to become a psychiatric nurse after getting a psychology undergraduate degree
We don't have a program in Ontario specifically for psychiatric nurses. So you'd have to get a nursing degree and then just aim to get a job in psych. If you already have a bachelors degree though you'd be eligible for an accelerated program.

RPN job in Labor & Delivery
Grand River in K/W hires RPNs for their childbirth unit, but I believe they only work with postpartum women, not L&D. I suspect you'd have to bridge to RN to work in L&D.

Philippine RN to PSW CCA in Canada
I don't know a lot about transferring an international license to Canada. But I will say that not everywhere requires a PSW certificate to work as one if you have relevant experience.

Conestoga Waterloo Campus RPN
Hi there! Just wondering if anyone has experience with the Conestoga RPN program at their Waterloo campus? The one that's in a nursing home. I've seen lots of information about the Doon campus, but not a lot for Waterloo. I'm planning to apply for September because they have an accelerated delivery option that goes through the summer. Mostly I just wanted to hear experiences, especially if there are any differences in curriculum between Waterloo and Doon, with Waterloo being in a long term care facility. Thanks!

ILC Prerequisites Question - Help!
I've tried to find the answer to this question but can't, so I figured I'd try here! I'm taking my nursing prereqs through ILC right now, and am planning to apply to an Ontario nursing program for 2018. However I'm really confused about how the submission of transcripts work. ILC will only send the transcripts to me, but OUAC says transcripts have to come directly from the issuing institution? If you did prereqs through ILC, how were those marks given to the schools you applied to? Did you have them added to your original high school transcript, or did you have two? Did the schools accept transcripts sent directly from the student? Thanks so much!
