  1. Anyone else just a complete bundle of nerves today?!
  2. As far as I know, no one here has called them. But yes, we'll find out soon! One week to go, everyone! (And that's worst case scenario )
  3. Anyone want to call admissions to ask when they'll start sending out acceptances?
  4. For anyone who has been accepted to UofT, have you received any more information about scholarships? I know the email said that they will let us know in "Early Spring" if we will be awarded a scholarship, but I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything more specific. Thanks!
  5. @Tornurs oh fair enough! Well, fingers crossed we hear back this week!
  6. Just out of curiosity, did you also apply to UofT? :)
  7. Does anyone know how they determine your GPA if you didn't take 5 classes per semester? I took 4 classes each semester in my last year, so they'll have to go back to the previous year for 2 more classes. Will they take the average of that semester?
  8. @mdana93 I agree though.. I like percentages way better! I hate how so many schools use different GPA scales. 4, 4.33, 9, 10, 12. So confusing!
  9. OMSAS - Undergraduate Grading System Conversion Table - Ontario Universities' Application Centre This is what I use to calculate my GPA on a 4.0 scale. UBC uses column 7. So a 3.7 would be 80-84%.
  10. I actually think a 3.7 is between 80-82%. Still very competitive. But 90%+ would be a 4.33 GPA.
  11. Congratulations! Would you mind telling us your stats/EC's? :)
  12. No, and I was too scared to ask! Haha. The good news is, the phone line to admissions is actually open! (When I called two months ago, it went straight to voicemail. Probably due to the extremely high number of calls!) For some reason, I got the vibe that we will be receiving our letters closer to the end of April. If anyone wants a more concrete answer though, please be braver than me and ask them! Haha.
  13. Phew - it's definitely 550. I talked to admissions at UBC.
  14. @to-be-nurse 550 applicants this year. :)
  15. ***UPDATE: I just called UBC and they received about 550 applications. Letters still going out by the end of April. ***
  16. @mandi_jacqueline yeah I'd be super interested to hear where you got that number from too. On their website, it says that they get approximately 500 applications per year. The FAQ has been updated recently (with the new CASPer info) so I feel like they would have updated that number if it had indeed almost doubled...
  17. Hey @Jamila08 Thanks for the message :) The Faculty of Nursing can't confirm receipt of transcripts, but Enrolment Services can through Status. I received an email from the Faculty of Nursing a few weeks ago saying that they hadn't received my transcripts yet, so when I called Enrolment Services, that's when they told me that they were super far behind. I called again today and they informed me that they're just processing transcripts received on January 31!
  18. Site is down for me too. Maybe they're getting ready to update it with acceptances
  19. Hi @tesla20. If you log in to Join U of T and go to "Check Status", it'll show the transcripts that are required for your application and if/when they were received. @jamila08, I'm actually from BC so I couldn't send my transcripts through OUAC. I had them sent the last week of January so they should have arrived in the first few days of February. When I called Enrolment Services a couple weeks ago, however, they said they were still sorting through transcripts that had arrived the second/third week of January, so I don't expect mine to show up on Status for a while. I'm hoping they can make a decision based on the unofficial transcripts that I uploaded in my supplementary application.
  20. Yes actually :) Log into the Bloomberg portal, click on "Continue My Application" and it will show whether or not your reference emails have been received.
  21. I've looked at older threads and it looks like they usually start sending acceptances at the beginning of April. My official transcripts haven't even been marked as received yet on Status
  22. I'm still working on Biology 235 through Athabasca, so that's taking up quite a bit of my time. With that being said, I'm on the computer all day which allows me to obsessively check my emails for anything from UBC haha. I also applied to UofT and I think they begin handing out acceptances next week, so hopefully I hear back from them soon too.
  23. Thanks for the advice @hopefulgal :) I tried not to focus on the little details, and it definitely helped me scrape an A on midterm 2! I'm so happy to be on the home stretch!
  24. I am! Ahhh. Fingers crossed we hear back early-mid April!
