I’m so happy to hear from all of you. Kind of tired of being the oldest one in my class! Anyway assuming I pass my finals I’m finishing my first year and if all goes well will graduate 1 year from now and then on to get my BSN.

Hi, I am 55 and starting nursing school in Aug. I will be close to 60 when I finish. I have wanted to go back to school since I was in my twenties but of course life got in the way. Now that my daughters are grown and I no longer have family responsibilities I'm going for it!! Don't let anyone discourage you. You can do this

I got an A&P book from amazon for 10 dollars, find out what book your school uses and get get the older version. The information is usually the same, just different order, maybe more pictures

I went there for prerequisites, they are known to have a VERY TOUGH program but it has a reputation of being the best in the state. I do know people that have completed the program but it is very intense and it is not advised that you work. I am now in Pa so I'm starting a program up here. I hope this help. Good luck to you

Hi Everyone, I just posted a question about age in another thread by mistake, but your all so inspirational I think you have all answered my question. I am 55 entering nursing school in Aug. I waited until my daughters were grown and I also was taking care of my mother. It took me ten years to complete my pre-reqs but I did it. I will probably be close to 60 when I finish school. My concern is finding a job after I graduate. I do realize I will have more challenges than most, but that's ok, as long as I can find somthing

I waited until my children were grown and I am now 55. I will be close to 60 when I complete school. Is it too late,am I living in a fantasy world? I don't want to go to school and then not be able to find a job?
