  1. I'm a married and mother of two toddlers. I love spending time with my family. I'm about to be done with my pre reqs, and start applying to nursing programs 2019. My husband is also a nurse and work very long hours...what field of nursing into the hospital that I could go into that makes me work minimal hours? I want to be a good nurse, but I don't want to work long hours, because my kids at least need one parent with a good/flexible schedule.
  2. I just started UTA. I'm in the middle of the semester, it's is a lot of work and I have two toddlers. I am trying to keep up the the work load, but it's hard. The Prof seems nice. In the beginning I didn't understand some of the instructions and it kinda messed me up, but I'm bouncing back.
  3. Anyone know for UTA if for introduction to nursing and history 1311, are the lectures live? How do you know what time to view them?
  4. Anyone know how the UTA online classes work? I start on Monday. Do I just login online and wait for classes to start? Or I login to blackboard etc? Do I have to logon at a specific time?
  5. I picked my first set of classes. I registered for intro to nursing and U.S. history 1. Do you have any tips on how to study for these classes? I still work 40 hours a week and I'm a wife and mom of 2 kids under 4yrs old.
  6. Are you now in the UTA nursing program? If yes, how is it going?
  7. Thank you guys, for all the wonderful advise! I got into UTA general admissions: I'm waiting to get my degree plan, so I can choose my classes and start in April! I'm so happy!
  8. Thank you guys, for all the wonderful advise! I got into UTA general admissions: I'm waiting to get my degree plan, so I can choose my classes and start in April! I'm so happy!
  9. Anyone is in the BSN Program at UTA that is not originally from Texas? How do you find the program and relocation so far?
  10. Thank guys. I sent in my transcript and I'm waiting for a response. I spoke to someone today and I was told I should have an answer by the end of next week...I just want to get into the general admissions so I take the pre requisites..I'm confident that I can do well in my pre requisites. I currently live in New York and I suffered from their overcrowded science class room. My biology and chemistry lectures had approximately 100-250 students, I did not like it at all. I'm really praying that God will give me a second chance: I didn't rush back into school since I graduated 6yrs now, because I didn't want to go back into a setting like this and I wanted to make sure I'm making the right decision. I'm married with two toddlers and if I get into the program we are all relocating to Houston. I'm praying that we are making the right decision. My husband work for the state now and he is also finishing up his last semester in nursing school. If I get into he he willing to look for jobs in Houston and we all move there. He is tired of New york's busy life and want to move somewhere more family oriented!
  11. Thank you. I want to take all my sciences with them
  12. I don't have most of the pre requisites, I was hoping to take those with them. I took psychology B, sociology B, intensive writing B, chemistry C-, biology C Also, when do you take the HESI? After you finish taking all the pre-requisites? Did you graduate from UTA?
