  1. Im guessing you graduated in December? Well, I'd say take your time to cope and process about the failure, and get back on the ball. I don't know your family, but if you got pass nursing school they've most likely support you all the way. Don't be afraid to tell your loved ones you failed they will catch you when you fall and help you pick up the pieces. I personally know this because I am getting ready to retake the NCLEx once again, and my family and friends are all supportive and check up on me. I come from a circle of friends who are practicing nurse in their respective areas, and my mom is a nurse also. I'm hoping the best for you and in the future if you don't give up you will become the RN that you deserve!!
  2. Susan, I'm pretty sure that wasn't an antihistamine you gave me....
  3. If it's content you're looking for Hurst provides lectures based on content over critical. But don't sleep on UWorld they have great rationales and is in-depth but isn't catered to a structured program they just provide Qbanks w/ great rationales, and an assessment of each category. Kaplan is more focused on the structure of the actual NCLEX format, w/ their lectures I realized they teach as they go through questions. This is why they tell you to pause the video during the lecture and look up content for yourself, but Hurst does a good job breaking down each category. (BUT hurst lacks in an actual structure approach like Kaplan.) Another review is going to the NCSBN review course, their content IS VERY in-depth if you want a thoroughly refreshing, but be prepared of reliving nursing school lectures you sat through before. (This is the National Council so they provide ALMOST everything you need to pass if you use the material appropriately). To sum it all up Go to hurst for a good overview NCLEX CONTENT Go to kaplan for a great approach to NCLEX format Go to NCSBN for the most IN-DEPTH lectures for the NCLEX PS on the go APPs you can get on your phone I suggest NCLEX mastery or Pocket Prep both provide rationales.

  6. Man Im bad at Maternity! But I'm going with A only because I feel like the pads should be check more frequently. If we are looking at uterine atony this is the failure of the uterus to contract. This can lead to vessels to bleed more freely... which leads to... hemmorhage. So we do need the other three fundal height checked, weighing pads to indicate amount of blood lost, and vital signs are always good to have :)
