  1. Yes I did, I started at TJU in August of this year. We are in midterms now, it's a bit of a heavy load but I feel like it's flying but already.
  2. Thanks! No problem! Just FYI I started my application in October right after attending there open house. But my evaluations weren't going through. Here I thought my manager was avoiding it , but I spelled her name wrong. So just check your spelling it can be something simple. Once I corrected that my application was completed by thanksgiving week and I heard from them Jan 2. And had my interview a few weeks later and got my decision response the next day.
  3. Ready for this? my undergrad GPA sucks! I did poorly freshman and sophomore year. I had to repeat chemistry after getting a D, C- in statistics. I even failed one of my nursing courses (by 1 point), I have never been the smartest person in class, but I have always worked my hardest! Literally given it my all!! I bust my ass to boost my GPA to a 3.6, took a few Grad course. Most importantly I sold my professional development and community involvement. I have been in critical care for 5 years , CCRN and many committees. Trust me they called me out on my less than vibrant transcripts but I'm resilient and hard working and I let them see it. BTW I'm a mom and they know it. Despite all that I'm in!! There hope for everyone if u are willing to work for it!!!
  4. Went great, God was on my side and I am in! Starting Fall 2017.
  5. Hi I had my interview last week and was accepted into the program!! woohoo!!! Now looking for my classmates for the Fall of 2017, as well as words of wisdom on surviving the Program. TIA,
  6. Hey guys I submitted my app under the 2018 link, but I was told at the open house in oct of 2016 that the Fall 2018 class was already full and they were working on spring 2019 DNP. they accept on rolling admission. but again its been over 2 months and still no word. My application status says " under review" but its been like over a month.
  7. I submitted my application in November and still have not heard anything back, has anyone recently applied and interviewed for Villanova Nurse Anesthesia Program? My status still says under review and all of my materials have been submitted. Maybe now that the holiday is over they contact me. Just looking for other applicant/SRNAs and their experience.
  8. I am interviewing in 2 weeks. I'm sure your busy but if you have time can you till me about your first semester course load and how many days a week you spent in class, clinical and studying.
  9. I have 2 children( ages 2 and 6) and have worked through this question myself. My family is 100% on board. My mom works Monday- Friday but she has promised to watch the kids every weekend so I can study and work per diem. My husband works 3 12hr shifts so he is home more than half the week. My mother in-law doesn't work and has promised to take on bus duty and babysit the little when I am in class. We also talked her into moving 2 blocks away, eventually she will be living with us so its in everyone's best interest that I do well.
  10. following this thread.... I haven't got in yet but thinking about this already. My husband works fULL time and carries the benefits, we have a mortgage and 2 kids. he can cover 75% of the bills if we cut back and I turn in my car (its a lease). I would like to work per diem, one shift every other weekend for gas and parking money. We have some savings that will cover that other 25% for about 2 years. I will definitely be looking to family and friends for meals and baby sitters. I plan on loans to cover all tuition cost.
  11. Hi everyone, I am interviewing with TJU this month. I applied to Villanova and haven't heard anything in 6 weeks. I am also applying to Lourdes in the Spring. Good luck everyone!!
  12. I haven't been accept anywhere yet but if I do, I plan on working my tail off until about 1-2 weeks before. I want to save as much money as possible. I have become a coupon queen and stock piled shelf product to last a year so far. I have a part time (24hours) and a per diem. I will be keeping the per diem its one 12hr shift every other weekend for pocket change. 1-2 weeks before I start I will be cleaning and spending time with family, if I can afford a weekend away that will be great too.
  13. Hi everyone I'm pretty new to the site and was looking for advice or helpful hints. I have an interview coming up for Thomas Jefferson Nurse Anesthetist Program, incoming class for fall 2017. Anyone else interview here recently for CRNA? Anyone accepted? Is there a Test? Thanks in advance.
