I have a question for anyone who is or who knows an ultrasound tech. I'm thinking of doing one of those private school (like Bryman or something) Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs but I have no idea how the certification works. If I get my training through there, and work for a year am I eligible to take the ARDMS certification test. I'm totally confused. Are those programs even able to train students to eventually take the test. Any help would be greatly appericiated, thanks.

Best bet is to contact the school directly and ask.

Thanks for the quick reply. My only issue with asking the school is that they have their own adgenda. I'm afraid that if I ask them, they will tell me what I want to hear, not nessacrily the truth so that I will go to their school. I plan to call the ARDMS tomorrow and see if someone can tell me something there, but I don't even know what to ask them.

Maybe you could check with the state where you want to get licensed and ask them exactly what you need to do to get the required education.

It sounds exciting. I think it pays well and you will be in demand from what I see in the ads.
