Prioritizing

OK I see a common theme here... everyone seems to be saying they are getting TONS of prioritizing questions on the NCLEX. I know the NCLEX did a change in April and it seems like the newest test has lots of "select all that apply" and priority questions. So that being said, where can you find these kind of questions? Most of the books I am using are only knowledge based (Saunders, Kaplan) and don't contain many of these. The few I have seem were pretty straightforward but of course we all know the NCLEX isn't always so.

I don't graduate until December but I like to have a plan you know ;o)

I am so glad you posted this question! I've been meaning to spill the beans on a GREAT book entitled Prioritizing, Delegation and Assignment. I took my exam yesterday morning and despite popular reports my NCLEX was challenging but I am confident that I passed. I wasn't a straight A student, I wasn't even a straight B student-I studied from Saudners comp review, the NCSBN website and the book listed above. Both the NCSBN and Delegation book were top notch and the reason I'm so confident. YOU WILL ALL PASS IF YOU ARE CONFIDENT and put the time in to study a bit. Good luck to you all and congrats to those who passed.

Can you tell me a little more about that prioritization book you mentioned? I searched for the title on amazon.com and I couldn't find anything. Perhaps you typed the title wrong? Could you maybe give me an ISBN number? It would be greatly appreciated.

I found one on barnesandnoble.com titled Prioritizing, Delegation and Assignment; Practice Exercises for Medical-Surgical Nursing (2005). Is that the right book?

The Q & A (book and CD) by saunders was a great help to me. you get alternate type questions there (select all that apply, etc), and the delegating/prioritizing. it's a great way to practice for the NCLEX. Good luck
