prior convictions

Can anyone give me any advice when it comes to my prior convictions of assault in 1996. I will be applying for my license soon and would like to know if anyone has been denied because of past assault charges or even if anyone has been granted there license with this type of prior conviction. I have tried contacting the BON but they seem to allways give me the same answer " every case is looked at individually" Any kind of help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately the BON is the most indicated to help you answer your question. You can do a search about this topic and will find many in the same boat. It depends on each case and other factors. I suggest you try a search. Good luck to you.
