Prevailing wage & EB3 processing

Hi everyone,

I signed a contract with a hospital and they are filing an EB3 visa for me. I will be working in Oklahoma. Right now we are waiting on the prevailing wage and it’s been 3 months now. How long is the waiting period for the prevailing wage to be processed? Also, do I have to wait for the greencard to come before I start working or I’ll get an authorization to work before filing for adjustment of status? Please help

Hi, get comfortable, it’s going to take a while. Just save up for your move while you wait. Oklahoma is nice , except for the heat and humidity in the Summer. Takes some getting used to.

Hello Mercyme,

The prevailing wage report took around 6 months to be issued on my case.     I was an international student on my OPT so I was able to start working right away and wait for my greencard while working as I had an authorization to work issued due to my OPT.

In conclusion: your authorization to work should be issued before your green card, and with the authorization to work in hands you will be able to start working.

I hope this helps.

Everything will be fine, do not worry ?

God bless you
