I went per diem in my agency in April. I live in nj nd was making hourly $32 ( 7 years an rn)
Well, my per diem rates seem to be awful. I do palliative care and hospice
Palliative RV- $37
Hospice RV -$45
Palliative admission- $82
Hospice admission- $100
I'm making next to nothing! Visits are always 45 min to an hour. Not including paperwork. sOC can be up 4 hours with paperwork, md calls and visit.
Plus, they are so badly managed ( one of the many reasons for leaving full time) and always short, if I start a case, I end up case managing it, with tons of phone calls I AM NOT GETTING PAID FOR.
I pretty much told them I don't want to do admissions anymore, it's not worth it, but of course, I get begged and say yes.
So, do these numbers seem low?
