Prerequisites at RFUMS for DNAP

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hello everyone,

New here, but would read a couple of the threads on here that popped up through my Google searches.

Anyhow, I'm interested in going through Rosalind Franklin's DNAP program and I noticed that they only require one to have a BSN, experience, letters of recommendation, and a good GRE score.

A lot of other schools I've looked into require additional Chemistry classes that range between General, Organic, and Biochemistry.

I'm currently taking prerequisites to my Nursing programs and they only require one semester of Chemistry class to finish the Nursing program.

My question is that do you think I should take more Chemistry even though RFUMS does not ask for it? I understand basic stoichiometry and was wondering what other chemistry concepts does an aspiring DNAP needs to know when it comes to administering anesthesia and to be successful in the program?

Thank you in advance!
