Prerequisite Questions ?

I want to take a psychology class, 'Human Growth and Development' this semester, but the school doesn't offer the prerequisite right now. Has anyone taken Human Growth and Development BEFORE taking the prerequisite which is Introductory Psychology?

Also, has anyone taken APII before taking AP1 ?

I'm just working with some crazy schedules right now!

Thank you for your help!

Good day, GAgalhere:

I've known people who took AP2 first, then AP1... it makes it a lot harder. I guess the same would go for the intermediate psyc before the entry level psyc. Did you talk with your advisor? What do they recommend?

Thank you.

I feel like both Human Growth & Development and Intro to Psychology are different classes in my opinion. But I would recommend doing Intro to Psychology first and then Human Growth. Same with Anatomy. I would do A&P1 first because it gives you the foundation for A&P2.

Well like they said don't take A&P II before I. You use almost all info from I for II. Yes people do that, but they also have to retake it because they didn't do well. As for psych, most of it is common sense and the only thing you connect from the two are Pavlov's theory, and Freudian theories. They're just filler classes so the school can steal your money.
