just remember....life goes on! you WILL fail a test, you WILL give the wrong medication, you WILL get frustrated at a patient. just remember, theyre people too. also, get all of your materials together. if youve got a job, buy a GOOD stethiscope. buy a rubber digital watch, some good shoes, and some scrubs. your school may require all white when on the fllor but my school also required scrubs to be work iun the classroom setting. also, another think that helped me alot is having a good phone. i had a treo and now have an iphone. somehting with internet access to nursing info is a great plus. and please, please, please.....remember that communication is the key to getting along and making things easy, so work on your communications as much as you can.

If you're weak at math, I would brush up. You'll likely be given a dosage calculation test which you absolutely must pass, so the math is significant to your success.

Someone on this site shared this. I use it in my classroom. Take a look at the skills you will learn and start practicing them. You will have a wriiten test and a skills test for certification. The skills test is more stressful because you have to follow the steps for 5 skills (in Florida) and it has a time limit. http://deptets.fvtc.edu/nursing/
Thanks to all
