Pregnancy question

Hello all,

My husband and I are pondering the idea of possibly getting pregnant (our last one), so my due date would be shortly after I graduate. So I'd be 5-8 months during my last semester. OR waiting, and I would be GETTING pregnant a few months after beginning a new job. I know the last semester is hard, but I imagine that it may 'blackball' me if I need any restrictions as a new employee.Yes, I know that legally they can't, but that doesn't mean it wont happen. Either way, I won't qualify for the FMLA, and I don't really like EITHER option I'm proposing, but I don't know much about what happens after graduation, as far as time frame. A part of me thinks it may be better to be off with the baby for a few months BEFORE a new job. The other part of me feels like I would like to get bringing in some money. I guess any info about either of these options would be appreciated.:D

Thanks all!

no answers anything here =[ i posted yesterday and still no reply lol. know of any good forums ? ( i know its off topic but i probably couldnt answer what you're asking since im not even anywhere near being a nurse yet) sorry

Can you delay getting pregnant for about 4 months after starting a job? That would let you qualify for FMLA since you will have been there a year at the end of your pregnancy, right? I'm currently on maternity leave, and love that I can be off for the full 12 weeks. If I'd had to go back after only 6 weeks I think I would have had a really hard time.

Out of your 2 options you posted, I think I might rather be pregant thru my last semester (although it will be really hard) so that I could spend as much time with the baby as I wanted before committing to a job.

Agree with this post. Seems like the best of all options is presented. I would shoot for not being beyond the sixth month during school if possible. Good luck with your decision.

Either way, being pregnant during school and being pregnant while working are both hard! But I'm sure I dont' have to tell you that since this isn't your first.
