Hello all fellow distance ed learners!!!
Have a question for you... I'm trying to finish my gen ed and pre req requirements. I'm taking a full load at a CC this fall, but my downfall is that my math skills are weak (I haven't taken a math course in 8 years). I have to start with pre-algebra, which is fine. But in order to get into A&P at this CC, I have to have taken Chem 1, and to get into Chem 1, I have to take Intermediate Algebra. Meaning that it'll be another 12 - 18 months before I can even start chemistry! Soooo frustrating... :angryfire
I wish there was an accredited school that offered all the pre-reqs online, but there are not. Does anyone know of any CC's or Universities that offer nursing pre-reqs through distance ed? I know Orgeon State offers a complete chem series, but thats not necessary for me. Any information will be appreciated.
Thanks!!

Check out the class schedules on the websites of all the schools in your vicinity. Almost all schools offer nursing prerequisites online, and many offer even anatomy, physiology, and microbiology online too. You just have to find the schools and enroll in the classes.
Look into this link for the Colorado community colleges online. They offer fundamentals of math, pre-algebra, algebra, etc. http://www.ccconline.org
Thanks!
Look at the one that is fundamentals of math and pre-algebra combined. If you took that one, then you would have one less course to take, provided it isn't too fast. Good luck.

Hey badphish. How was the online micro at SPC? I'm considering taking it next spring.
i got an "A" so it was good for me. i reccomend you register as early as possible, it fills up quick. also if you havnt attended SPC before get your stuff transfered over early, i played email tag with the advisors for weeks. that part was frutrating.
get Citron as an instructor, if you can.
peace out,

I've searched and searched the st. petersburg college website and can't fine the online microbiology course. Is it still being offered? I'm interested in taking it in the spring semester.
and what about chemistry course? I checked st. petersburg and jacksonville cc and no luck finding an online course. Any suggestions?
