Pre-rep for nursing

I would strongly suggest doing your prereqs at a community college and saving your money over SJSU's tuition. Doing your classes at a university won't give you any kind of advantage.

To answer your question, yes, you can transfer if you do your prereqs at SJSU.

Just a friendly heads up, you may want to change your screen name to something more anonymous, as there are a thousand reasons to protect your identity on a very public forum. :)

I totally agree with the previous poster...

Change your name. Just to be on the safe side don't have your full name on here.

Also, the best option is to go to a community college & then transferring to possibly a public school you'd like. That way you have more options and most likely won't have to worry about your credits not being able to transfer out if you were deciding about transferring to a private school.

I started off at a private school.. Not that I regret it per se, but I do wish I started at my local community college. Saves time & $$$!

No it definitely shouldn't. When it's time to transfer to a 4 year college, by applying to a public school, most if not all of your credits will be accepted. Both of their classes correspond with each other. Private 4 year schools are iffy though. They require many classes. Way more than public. Regardless of whichever one, contact their admissions office. The school you listed before, I think you should be fine with it.

That won't be an issue. Most students are transfers (I think we had maybe one or two "native" students in my entire nursing class). These days, native students don't have any preference over transfers, though some schools will have a preference for locals, meaning those attending schools in the surrounding areas.
