I am currently a pre nursing student at a 4 year university. Is it bad if it takes me 3 years to finish all my prerequisite courses? And will it look bad if I repeated my math course and my communication course? Also do you think a cumulative GPA 0f 3.3 is decent?

I think it doesn't matter how long it takes you to finish your prerequisite just make sure you successfully complete them. . . And by successfully I don't just mean complete them but make sure you complete them with high grades. . As far communication course I highly doubt they will look at that, if at all.. As opposed to that math course that you had to repeat. As far as GPA it varies depending on the school's requirements and from that they usually only take the prerequisite courses and calculate that GPA but I've seen school look at over lower division studies as well.. and 3.3 is a little bit on the lower side. . Considering how extremely competitive entrance is into nursing school. . But it's no reason to discourage you . . If anything it should encourage you to work Harder from this point on. .

It doesn't matter how long, just have a good GPA to get in. I don't know about retaking classes because every school is different as to what they look at.
Okay thank you:)

How long your courses take you isn't a factor (though some schools will only take prereqs that were taken within the last 5 or 7 years).
For a CSU, you'll need to boost your GPA. The BSN programs are extremely competitive, and you'll really need a 3.7 or better, as well as a good score (high 80s or better) to be competitive.
Consider switching to a community college to save yourself the money on your lower division course, and look at ADN programs, which generally run on a lottery system. Apply to as many programs as you can feasibly attend.

It has also taken me 3 yrs to complete my pre reqs because i work fulltime and have small kids, ,,my school doesn't allow more than 3 repeats total in any math science or reading classes and ive had to repeat a math biology and a English course because i was going fulltime while working fulltime..since dropping down to a parttime student ive repeated each class and made an A in each and have a 3.6 gpa...hopefully it doesnt count against me but just in case ill be applying to 2 other schools good luck
