pre-employment screening

I'm just curious what other hospitals include in their pre-employment screening process. At my previous employer it was simply a drug test with a medical hx questionare. I went today for my screening for a new position at a different hospital and it included much more. PPD 2 step (even though I had one in the past year and provided paperwork saying this), blood draw (to determine immunity), UA, drug test, vision test, hearing test, finger prints (I will be working NICU) and complete physical (gown and all) by occupational health MD. I am just not used to this is this common in other facilities?

I had to have records of immunizations turned in, 2 ppd's, med hx form, rx drug form, urine drug screen, vitals, and tb mask fitting.

I had to go through the same thing, minus the hearing test and finger prints. I also had to do the first step of the TB test, even though I had one done toward the end of July. I had to do the first step, but for the second step, I was allowed to bring in proof that I had it in July.
