Good luck! I am also taking mine next week, for the first time. I am extremely anxious. I failed out of nursing school before when I was halfway through the program-- I had some family things going on at the time and they got in the way. BUT, when I went back, I did 110% better. And I believe you will be the same way with the NCLEX. You got through nursing school, so obviously you are completely capable of making it. This exam is hard which is why it takes weeks/months of preparation. I challenge anyone who hasn't gone through nursing school to attempt to take it and pass successfully.

Don't let your mom or anyone else bring you down. Succeed for YOU, and then you can go back and rub it in her face :-) Just kidding. But really-- I wish you the utmost luck!!!

Wow, I am very sorry that your mom is being so discouraging at the time when everything is coming together for you. I completely understand how important it is to have the support and possibly an approval from someone close to you, especially at time like this! But you have come a very long way! The fact that you are taking the NCLEX the second time only shows that you are going after what is very important to you. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't be successful, just because things don't go smoothly. Success is very over-rated, and the pressure of "being successful" is huge on everyone these days. Just take things at your own pace...There is no marathon. You have what it takes! You are close to your dream coming true! I think it's a great advantage that you already took the exam once, so you know what to expect. You will get through this.

You are very right. I need her to tell me that it's going to be fine but no she's doubting if I can pass and saying it straight to my face. it's so sad because she knows that I don't have much support system and I need her support right now. Thank you for your kind words!!! Godbless you! :)

Success is measured by the individual who set the goal. Those who do not set goals are individuals whom negatively prey upon those who have set and achieved goals. It's call jealousy, envy, or most of all, "I wish I could be just like you." Sometimes parents live vicariously through their children and are unable to be supportive of their children's individual desires and achievement. Unfortunately, it's apart of life for some.

Hold your head up, smile take a deep breath, and go conquer the world. Stay focus on passing NCLEX and becoming a superior Nurse. Others who wish negative thoughts upon you only makes your goal much more achievable. You are surrounded and protected by God's beautiful Angels. When individuals begin to speak negatively, just smile and say, "Uh, OK" and walk away. Never entertain ignorance. I usually say, "My apology, I refused to entertain ignorance." Best wishes!

Thank you so much!!!! I'm touched with your words. I completely agree with you I have goals in life and I can say I'm quite ambitious. A dreamer but at least I have a goal. She's unsupportive and I wonder what does she wants me to do in my life. She thinks I will go nowhere and will not have a bright future thanks agan! God bless you!
