I'm a nurse working in PP. I love it !!! I currently work 2 days a week part time. I need to supplement my income and thinking about going PRN in LTC. I like the 8 hour shifts . I haven't done LTC in 4 years. I did have 3 years of LTC exp prior to PP. Do you think kill have a chance of getting hired as a PRN nurse ????

I don't know where you live, but where I live, LTCs are begging for nurses. The only way to find out is to apply to places.
You could also go through a staffing agency and see if can get hours that way. With previous LTC experience, that could be an option.

LTC facilities seem to always be short-staffed, so they would probably welcome you with open arms. The fact that you have previous nursing experience in LTC would help, even if it is not very recent. Honestly, I would say you would have a very good chance, as they will probably take anything and anyone they can get.
Thanks for the replies. I think I'll start applying this week.
