Does anyone have any good internet sites for information on PTS in an adolescent. My son was assaulted and is experiencing symptoms of this.

Any information would be appreciated!!!

I will research sites for you. I strongly recommend you take your son to a therapist. His symptoms can become CHRONIC

Prayers to your son ... please know that he is not alone. The most important thing is that he finds continued support. In our society, it's not uncommon to blame the victim -- make sure that he knows it was not his fault. Please find a competent child therapist (ask your pediatrician) and also meet with the social worker at your son's school. PTSS can be devastating -- he needs to find consistent support.

It's wonderful that you are researching PTSS, but please realize that in addition to family support, he really may need some professional help to deal with this. Hang in there. I really feel your pain.

thank you for all the support. We finally found a therapist and took my son. Well long story short, by time we went to see him my son was doing much better. The Therapist explained that you can have "short bursts" of PTSD, especially in kids. He spent alot of time with my son talking about anger, guilt, etc... His opinion was that my son was dealing with the whole situation quite well and had found coping mechanisms of his own to deal with the assault. I'm happy to report that he is back in school, going out with friends and has recieved am amazing amount of support from people we never would have expected. ie teen center personel, teachers, pediatrician.

It restores my faith in humanity to have him so supported!!!

thank you all for the information and prayers!!!

Sounds like a positive outcome and I'm glad to hear it! ;)
