How long does it typically take to complete an ACNP certificate program after completing an FNP?
Thanks!

So at my school, if you had done their FNP program and then were to attend their post-master's ACNP, you would have to only take the clinical courses, which would be 5 semesters. I, personally, chose this school because they had a lot of clinical requirements. I'm sure there are programs out there that are shorter. It also matters what courses they accept from your FNP.
Thanks for that. I'm trying to time my next few years out so that I will be wrapping up my FNP/ACNP at the same time I hit the point when I can retire from the FD. I have to assume it would be a bad thing to complete all my NP work and then not work as an NP for 1-2 years while I finish up my FD career..
I would agree on that. It certainly wouldn't look good.
