Post LPN program???

Published

Hello

After I graduate LPN program at Bow Valley College(Calgary),

I'm going to attend a university.

Is there any good post-LPN program other than Athabasca?

I heard that McMaster, York, UT and some universities have 2yr fast-track Nursing program

Am I eligible to apply these universities??

Specializes in Public Health.

McMaster has a 6 semester post RPN (what we call LPNs) program to bridge from RPN to BScN.

I think the two year program you are thinking of is the second-entry accelerated program. It is for people who already have degrees (or are almost done? I'm not 100% on this part) and have completed all of the prerequisites who can do an accelerated BScN and be done in two years.

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

Yes the fast track ones are for people that already have degree in another field. Most PN-BSN bridge programs require at least an 85% average in your PN program.

Thanks a lot.. How important is the university for getting a job??

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

It really doesn't make a difference.
