Please can someone tell me the position for post pnuemonectomy , thank you.

If I remember correctly, you would place the patient on the side that the lung was removed, for example, if the left lung was removed, you would place the patient on the left side because the left lung is removed, the right lung should expand. Auscultate for breath sounds, there should only be unilateral breath sounds.
If it is a lobectomy, it is on the opposite side, left lobe removed place the patient on the right side in order to help the left lung expand
