i just submitted a ap for the spring of 09 with 27 points. i know nothing about how many points people usually get in with. is that enough points to atleast be considered? plus i heard from someone that works there that they need more men for the program and it is easier for a man to get it which i am a man. i dont know what to expect :/ hopefully i get it!

from what i've been told on these boards 27 points is good...last fall the cutoff was 21 points but it's usually around 23-25 points. I myself have 30 points but may not be able to apply, waiting on a transcript to be transferred and I'll be really mad if they've lost it or it doesn't get done in time for me to apply cause it seems I would get accepted no trouble.
i had that same problem from nevada state. i sent my transcripts 2 months ago to csn and i didnt know i had to file a transfer request form. i almost crapped my pants cuz my bio 189,223,224, psy 201, psy 210, and med term class which are not needed but they were on there, but thankfully a woman in the registrars office checked them that day and got everything squared away

do you have a good teas or NLN score? and is your GPA high enough? they look at all those things... i graduated from CSN when it was CCSN.. and it is a great program..
they are very selective but they have the best reputation and is tried and true for boards... i loved the program ( i did the LPN to RN bridge and only needed a GPA mine was 4.0) i got in first try and passed boards first try w/ 75 questions...
if you get in this program you will be a excellent nurse...
good luck and keep us posted
I turned my transcripts in personally with the form about 3 and a half weeks ago but still haven't heard anything
Ok well just checked it online and it got updated this morning. But the transcript i was having transferred was for a math class (statistics) which I was told last year by someone that would qualify for the math requirement yet the DARS form is still saying i haven't completed the math. If i wanted to go talk to someone about this who do I go see?
maybe you could call admissions and speak to them.
