Point system, I don't get it

A friend of mine is currently taking her prerequisites at a school in North Carolina. They are given 5 points for each pre-req they take, up to a certain amount, regardless of the grade in that class, as long as it's passing. Then the other points come from taking the TEAS. The thing I don't understand is how a person with all Cs in their pre-reqs and a person with all As in their pre-reqs are given the same number of points for those classes. That doesn't seem fair. This is the only program I've seen where by GPA doesn't matter. Anyone else applying to a program like that? So basically, does her getting in all boil down to what she gets on the TEAS?

Sounds like the TEAS will be the clincher. There are schools that use a lottery where a C grade will get you into the lottery the same way an A will. That is just the way the ball bounces. However, a wise person will attempt to get as good a record as possible so that they remain competitive with the other schools they may want to apply to, as well as to establish their record for the future.
