to those who used the kaplan q bank, how did u use it?

I answered 100 questions each day then went back and reviewed the rationales for all the questions. Even the ones I got right.

hi, i just purchased the kaplan q bank and did 2 tests already, the sample test and another set of 50 questions. i got 62% on the sample test and 50% on the create a test part and i am so dissapointed and stressed by these results. anyway, i need some advice... on the kaplan q bank, these are the only options i found...

Safe and effective care - Management of Care, Safety and Infection Control

Health Promotion and Maintenance

Psycosocial intengrity

Physiological Integrity - Basic Care and Comfort, Pharma, Physiological Adaptation, Reduction of Risk Potential

also they only up to 50 questions per test maximum...is this it?

i heard u can do SATA's with the kaplan q bank, how do i do this?

and how do i get started and how will i work out my schedule on this?

and so do i only select from these topics above?

i love this kaplan qbank... ive just purchased it last week...

and theres a lot of prioritization, sata, infection control questions(a lot diff from saunders)...

and yah, 50 is the max to creat test..

it depends on you want to practice questions...

by category or all of the categories.. focus on you weakness,

i do per category.

i hope this kaplan would help.... :coollook::coollook::coollook::coollook::coollook:

i also did a 100 a day.....i started with all of the unused..and then i made sure that i knew the answers for the used ones that i got wrong on previous tests...don't make yourself crazy..i never scored above 65 on any of the tests...i passed the nclex with 75 ?s....nclex is so similar to kaplan...it was the best money that i spent...good luck!

did you take rn or pn?

is it really gonna help??? waaaaah!!! i really need to pass this nclex...

do u have any advices????

thanks...

it took rn...just keep doing them over and over...i really didn't use anything else to study with...just force yourself to be in a good place on the day of your exam...enough sleep...nourishing food.....meditation....church....whatever makes you feel good....i swear if you go in there nervous with an attitude that you are not going to pass...you won't....my clinical instructor told me to envision myself coming out of the exam with confidence knowing that i did well and passed...but quite honestly, i kindof thought that i failed....but i was calm...good luck

Don't get too discouraged by your scores. Continue to study questions daily regardless of your scores. If you find a concept that you need to brush up on then look it up in another resource and study it before you continue on. Also pay attention to the rationales as you study. Good luck.
