Pick your disease

We have to write a paper for med surg, on acute care and any disease we wish. I would like to write a paper on MS (multiple sclerosis) since both my dad and sister have it. However, I am not sure how I want to narrow the topic down...any ideas??? It will be 5-7 pgs. long.

For that matter, on any OTHER disease process, did any of you find a particularly interesting disease to write a paper on? I am open...I just need to really narrow the topic down, such as "MS and perioperative complications..."

Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm giving you a link into an outline of information about M.S. Are you thinking about going into something like ALS? They are not exactly the same disease although they fall into the category of neuromuscular diseases. I think that you can do MS. If you wish to narrow it down, get into the diagnosis of it or, perhaps, the treatment. However, I think you could cover it quite well doing the pathophysiology of it, tests done to diagnosis it, and the basic progression of the disease. I'm assuming this is for a class on pathophys or disease, right?
