Try A teaching hospital in your closest big city... In San Antonio, University Hospital offers a PICC line insertion cert class, I think for employees, though.

MD Anderson has an Infusion Therapy team which offers PICC classes. I am not sure what the cost is. Contact them at 713-792-6161. Ask for Infusion Therapy.

Hi,
I called this number and the woman I talked to stated that they offer classes only to their patients.

Bard has an online course that is wonderful. After completion you will
have to do on the jo training. I think piccs are hard to learn but after
you do a couple of hundred--they become much easier. I can't imagine
doing anything else. See ya

A past employer sent me to MDACC (same as above) for their PICC training. It's a 4 day course, maybe 5, not 100% sure. But it was a great experience, a bit pricey though if you're planning on spending your own $$ on it. Total cost of the program was about $2k.
After browsing the MDACC site, I'm thinking the program isn't offered anymore. Here's the link to the professional educ. courses they offer. This is where the PICC line course was listed. It's unfortunately no longer there.
