  1. hello, texas nurses i just got hired by one of the hospitals in tmc and i'm very happy about it. i'm still in MA and i'm working on endorsing my license to TX BON. I submitted all requirements (application form, pics, fp card, and fee). The counterpart BON in the Phil (where I am a citizen and got my nursing education) already sent the verification of my license directly to TX BON. And i already applied thru nursys for the verification of my MA license. My question is: Is the verification thru nursys the only thing i have to do to satisfy the verification requirement or do i have to forward paperwork to MA BON so they can send directly to TX BON. This process (along with the burden of planning and packing for the move) is a little stressful to me so much so that any clarification will be very helpful. also, what part of houston do you suggest we live in when i start working in tmc. i read that traffic is a problem. i have a husband and two little twin girls so we're hoping to buy a house soon and get settled for good. thank you.:redpinkhe
  2. Hi, I called this number and the woman I talked to stated that they offer classes only to their patients.
  3. hello, dave. i really need help and any info from you will be greatly appreciated. i tried to call PRC every midnight (US) for 2 hours without such luck. Their phone is always busy. All I need to know is what forms of payment they accept so I can go ahead and send necessary requirements for the verification. I hope you can tell me. Thank you very much!
  4. hello, dave i have some follow up questions: what forms of payment do they accept? can i pay in equivalent $ amount? my license expired 2005. how much do i have to pay for renewal? do you by chance know the postal zip code of PRC? thank you so much! :paw:
  5. hello, everybody! I need to apply for a Texas license thru endorsement. I have the form to send to PRC (PHIL) but I don't know the fee they charge for the service (if any) and their requirements. unfortunely, PRC website does not supply this much neede instructions. does anybody have any info. thanks!
  6. Thanks, Bridley for posting Christine Howards' name & number (TEXAS BON). I just talked to her about how to go about having my Philippine license verified and she was AMAZINGLY helpful, very pleasant. I know now that I have to send the vefication form to PRC and PRC will have to send the filled-in form to TX BON. But does anybody know how much PRC charges for this service, how long approx. the process is, and what their exact postal zip code is. Thanks, thanks, thanks!:balloons:
  7. Hi chee 23, I read that your application for Texas license thru endorsement is underway. We almost have the same case so I hope you can answer some questions that I have. I am currently holding an MA license for almost 3 years now and wanted to relocate to Texas. I learned that one of the requirements for me to have a license (not just the temporary one) is to have all licenses that I have and had verified. That includes my license from the Philippines which of course has expired already. How did you do it? I can't find any clear info on how to go about the process since the PRC website did not supply me with needed instructions. They don't even have a postal zip code and until now I can't figure out what it is. Did you send them the form that TX BON provided? Did you pay any fee? Or did you go thru CES of CGFNS and paid the $300+ fee. Please help. Thanks!
  8. thanks, suzanne i did take and pass the CGFNS, TSE & NCLEX (Montana). I am currently holding a MA license and has been working as an RN for almost 3 years now. my concern is how to let PRC verify my old license (already expired in 2005). i'm not sure if the form provided by the Texas BON would be sufficient. there's even no telling how much the fee is. i'm thinking of just sending the form anyway and enclosing a metered envelope that they can use to forward the filled-in form to TX BON. i'm a little bit frantic now because my family plan to move to texas early next year and i need to find a job fast. i see that you are very knowledgable in this area...do you have any other suggestion? thanks!
  9. hi, everyone. i am planning to apply for an RN license in Texas thru endorsement. I am a foreign graduate nurse and the TX BON representative stated that I have to verify the license that I had in my country even if it's inactive. i donwloaded a form from their website but that's pretty much it. I understand that it's my total responsibility to take care of it but I don't know where to begin. I checked the website of my country's Board of Nursing but there was no specific instruction on how to go about the process. BTW, I'm from the Philippines so any input per experience or ideas is very much appreciated. I can always go for the CGFNS way but they do charge a lot...almost $400.00. So i thot i'd exhaust some other options before I give in to them. thank you.
