Phlebotomy course?

Anyone know of any phlebotomy certification classes ? I know medtexx.com offers one in NY and its only a weekend long but my local college offers one thats an entire semester...was wondering how could they possibly fit in one weekend what a two hour, two night a week, entire semester course covers?

Funny, because kingsboro was actually the "local college" i was referring to. I just missed their summer phlebotomy class, so im waiting to see what the schedhule will be like in the fall. I was wondering though if I should take an entire semester long class, or a weekend deal at that place medtexx. It just seems strange to me that an entire semester could be crammed in one weekend

As a matter of fact it only takes one day to demonstrate how to draw blood and the rest should be practice until you are skilled at it. In nursing school, our instructor demonstrated it once and we practiced for a few days. I actually learned it the same day. Trust me it's not that difficult. Good luck.
