pharm questions

For those of you who've taken the NCLEX-RN before, how many pharm questions did you have? What specific drugs or classes did they ask you about? This is the area I feel I am the weakest in, and was looking for any advice I can get. Thanks!

Although it has been almost a year since I took the NCLEX-RN and this may not help you since the format is changing, I did not have any pharm questions on my exam and I had 75 questions. A few of my friends who recently took their exams in January had several about pharmacology and had about 11 of the new multi-choice style questions. If you can take a Kaplan or other form of review course, they do a comprehensive review which includes drug classes.

I took NCLEX this week and there really were not a lot of Pharm questions on my test. And what meds they included I did not know. They did ask about Digoxin but in regards to an infant so I didn't know the answer!! I remember another question was about some heart drug I never heard of. I think there was a question about Tylenol though.

Good Luck!!!! :p

I just took my NCLEX tuesday. I have a question about the adverse effects of Naprosyn!!!!!!!!!! Learn drug class not specific drugs.

Naprosyn - Anti-inflammatory - take with food - GI upset!!!!!!!!!

I had a lot of infectious question also........ laennec cirrohis

This was a actual question Maybe not exact words..................

A client with allergy to Sudafed. Which of the statement is correct?

A) Iwill take valerian....

B) I will take ma huang....

C) I will take Echinacea for acute viral infection

D) I will take black cohosh....

And yes I found out today that I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ugggh my test cut off @ 75 and I had a TON of pharm questions....probably like 20

Ugh, lemme think...pharm was my greatest source of angst as well...

There were a couple questions about heart meds (beta blockers for the most part) and recognizing s/s of dig toxicity...I'm sure there were more but that's all I can remember off the top of my head.

I took my NCLEX in November. I don't think I had any pharm questions. Several math calculation problems though.
