In short Google them like this "list of the most common antibiotics". Continue with all the categories and learn as many as you can. I think this would have been a big help to me had I done it before passing meds the first time.
Hope this helps :)

Hi,
Hi ,I am curious- the 14 you have learned, are they more towards a certain demographic ,like seniors? Getting to know the main ones for heart ,anti-psychotics , pain etc ,plus hs meds such as sleeping ,depression etc. Good luck! Sorry I forgot anti-diuretics . If you know where your first practicum will be ie LTC ,acute etc start looking up stuff now . :]

It sounds like you're pretty frustrated. Where does your course syllabus or curriculum outline state you should be in terms of progress to this point in the class? You may not feel you're gaining the quantity of information to date you'd like, but in terms of quality, how would you rate the level of instruction you've received in pharmacology?
At my school, we have lots of different liaisons between students and staff, including a student success coordinator, quarter liaison, etc. Are there similar resources at yours that you could turn to?
they were actually diffrent types of antibiotics.......
there isnt any resources like that at my ghetto school. 1st....my teacher comes in later everyday, class suppose to start at 830 doesnt start until around 910. When people ask questions after she just explained the process.....oh lord class is over!lol its funny how a 10 min break always turn into a half an hour! im not feeling the information is intense as it should be. 26,000 for this ********. im very upset. and come to find out only like 40% of people pass there boards that went to my school.

If you don't already have this book, go out and get your hands on Saunders Comprehensive Review of the NCLEX. It has easy-to-learn chapters on pharmacology such as cardiac meds, respiratory meds, psychiatric meds, etc. In addition, you could use the book later on in your schooling to study for your state boards so that you could be ahead of the game.

Another NCLEX review book that has an EXCELLENT pharmacology review is Delmar's Comprehensive Review of NCLEX-PN. What I liked about their review of medications was that they organized it in catagories, gave hint at what class they were by mentioning prefixes and suffixes. That was a big help to me for the boards.
