Personal Hygiene

So I was conducting a personal hygiene class to our female inmates and found out they use menstrual pads as tampons. Has anyone ever taught about this? I should not be surprised by what people do, I just need to meet them where they are and teach infection prevention.

Any feed back would be appreciated.

Ew...yes, I think that they should have tampons available...otherwise, I don't really have anything helpful, sorry!

Tampons are not available, I doubt they will be for quite some time.
