Peripheral Nerve Stimulator

Does anyone know of a webpage or resource in which I can get another PNS. Mine was "long term borrowed" and I feel as though I may not get it back. I have done an internet search without much success. I have been lucky enough to beg and borrow but that can only last so long.

rn4icu - talk to the zemuron rep - they are great about giving them to whomever needs one.

How about my facility doesn't have Zemuron on the formulary.

whatever NMB you all use - find the rep...they are pretty good about getting them... vec...nimbex...

good luck.

Go to "search by catergory" (upper R maroon colored tab)

Scroll to "regional anesthesia"

Choose nerve stimulators until the list of 4 items shows up. First item, the MiniStim IV is what I have and what is standard for our purposes. I got mine from this company (it comes with balls and wires)...we tried to get em from drug reps, but were told they no longer had em...don't know if that's true, but it has been about a year and I have not seen any given as freebees.

I start CRNA school in January, Is a PNS something that we need to furnish, it seems tome that it owul be standard equipment in every room, or is it something like a stethoscope, that we all must have and provide.

Thanks

Brian

Brian,

We have them furnished in all our rooms...whether or not they work or the batteries are current is another story :uhoh3: I would definitely not buy one...wait until school starts and then ask a rep if you want your own.

Thanks for the tip A - my Zemuron man "just happened to have one" in his trunk when I saw him after reading your post. :)
